We return for another fulfilled week that’s loaded with interesting gigs across the metropolitan landscape of India. This week represents a heady mix of deep emotive music something we are big fans off at warpcore and some rage ready techno besides some interesting off beat acts. Let’s go.

  • 9Lives: Jaspal Singh Teja or as he’s affectionately known as Ricky, returns as his alter ego 9Lives on his home turf of Auro Kitchen & Bar. A 9Lives DJ set is always special because it’s rare and it’s always riddled with fun house numbers that have a lot of gravitas melded with a touch of euphoria. His sound also incorporates a lot of vocal elements which is always an interesting departure from the deluge of drum-machine obsessed wizardry. He’s playing this Saturday.
  • Tadeo: If you’re in for a techno curveball then Thursday at Delhi’s Auro Kitchen & Bar and on Saturday at Bangalore’s Koramangala Social, the Madrid based wizard, Tadeo, will suspend you in raging swirl of hypnotic techno which will just get your dancing shoes balling. He’s playing in India for the first time and is not to be missed.
  • Nur Jaber: Nur Jaber is the techno massive attack from Beirut and she’s in India this weekend to destroy your feet. Her sound is simple and primal techno which she will unleash at Summer House Café with Kount opening for her on Friday and the next day she’s playing at a parking lot in Mumbai called P2 with Likwid which promises to be a late night rager.
  • Kohra: If you think about hypnotic music and BPM heavy electronic music from India, just don’t look beyond Madhav Shorey aka Kohra. He’s a past master at that sound apart from being an incredibly gifted DJ. He’s playing at Delhi’s Mango Kitchen & Bar this Friday.
