Confirmed via a tweet from James Bond’s official twitter account, 18-year old Billie Eilish will be crooning the new James Bond theme song for the upcoming April 2020 release. The film titled “No Time To Die” also has a new composer – Hans Zimmer, who takes up the reins from Dan Romer.

Eilish is now the youngest artist to record a James Bond theme song and is obviously super ecstatic.

Eilish is writing the song with her brother Finneas O’Connell. Eilish has had a terrific 2019 with big hits like Bad Guy. She is also nominated for six Grammy’s which includes album of the year and best new artist. She also won Global Artist of the Year at the Apple Music Awards.

Praising Hans Zimmer, the James Bond Twitter account posted a message from the film’s director Cary Joji Fukunaga.

Zimmer himself tweeted a photo of the film’s title

“No Time To Die” sees Bond retired from active service after Blofeld’s capture. CIA officer Felix Leiter seeks his help to search for a missing scientist and after it becomes apparent that the scientist was abducted, Bond must race against time to save the world once again.

The film stars Daniel Craig, Rami Malek as the Bond adversary, Lea Seydoux, Lashana Lynch, Ralph Fiennes and Christoph Waltz reprising his role as Ernst Stavro Blofeld. You can watch the trailer here
