It’s been 20 years since Linkin Park released their legendary album “Hybrid Theory”. And for the anniversary edition, the band is gearing up to release a massive reissue package for its fans which will include demos, rarities, B-sides, DVDs and more.

Founded in 1996, Linkin Park’s Hybrid Theory, released under Warner in 2000, according to reports it was considered as the best-selling debut album of the 21st century.

“It’s incredible to think it’s been 20 years since Hybrid Theory was released,” Linkin Park said in a statement. “All gratitude to our fans who made this epic journey we started 20 years ago possible. We dedicate our music to you. We rededicate our Hybrid Theory to you.”

The reissue arrives October 9 via Warner Records in multiple formats: a 5xCD set, which includes the 2002 remix album Reanimation as well as rarities, a 3xLP vinyl box set, and the Limited Edition Super Deluxe Box with DVDs over 95 minutes of film material that has never been shown, an 80-page illustrated book with contributions from band members and unseen photographs as well as a replica tour laminate and a large poster of late Chester Bennington, new lithographs from Mike Shinoda, Joe Hahn, and Hybrid Theory director Frank Maddocks.

Along with the announcement of the reissue, Linkin Park has also released a preview of the unreleased track called “She Couldn’t”. You can listen here!

She Couldn’t’ is one of the earliest demos we made when Chester joined the band,” Shinoda says.

“The programmed beat and focus on synth sounds and vocal loops (rather than heavy guitars) foreshadowed a future of the band many years after Hybrid Theory,” Shinoda says. “In searching for our ‘first sound,’ we set the groundwork for our later evolution.”

He also shared a rare photo with Bennington during the Hybrid Theory photoshoot.
