Cyberpunk 2077 is perhaps the most anticipated game of the year. It is an open-world, action-adventure role-playing video game, by CD Projekt RED, and is finally set to drop on December 10, 2020. The much-awaited game is adapted from the old tabletop game Cyberpunk 2020, written and created by Mike Pondsmith, who is one of the game’s lead consultants in addition to having a significant role in the creation of the game’s world and setting. He even has a few cameo roles inside the very game itself.
Now that only a few days are left so here are all the things you should know before getting your hands onto it!
Story of Cyberpunk 2077:
As the name of the game suggests, the player will move to 2077, where he will live in a city called Night City. The world is ruled by mega-corporations, and the city is full of rebellious gangs. For the first time in a CD Projekt RED game, Cyberpunk 2077 is offering players the chance to fully customize the player character.
In Night City, the player will be able to choose his career path. You will have 3 options to choose from – Nomad, Street Kid and Corpo. If you become a Nomad who is an Outcast, the player will begin their adventure in the suburbs. Street Kid, on the other hand, was raised in Night City, so he will know the city inside out. Choosing a Corpo that is a member of the Arasaka Corporation means getting to know the corporate world and the ability to navigate within it. Throughout the game, V is guided by Johnny Silverhand (Keanu Reeves), the original Rocker Boy, who led a similar revolution in the early 21st century.
The character also has to go through all of the six districts of Night City (City Center, Watson, Westbrook, Heywood, Pacifica and Santo Domingo) to complete missions and take control. Also, users can spend game money on weapons or buy new vehicles and clothing.
What will the gameplay be like and How Long is it?
Cyberpunk 2077 is an RPG presented from a first-person perspective and it is a single-player story game. The player will be able to explore the virtual world at will. The exact completion time isn’t known for the game, but a developer of the game spent 175 hours in Night City and still hasn’t seen the credits roll.
