After months of waiting, Sony has finally given the perfect New Year gift to gaming enthusiasts in India. Much awaited gaming console PlayStation 5 is all set to launch officially on February 2 with pre-orders starting from January 12, The gaming console will go on sale via Amazon, Flipkart, Croma and several other online and offline retailers till the stock lasts, the Japanese tech giant announced on Twitter.
The PlayStation 5 was launched in November 2020 in the global markets and was sold like hotcakes and the stocks went out in no time. This is also one of the major reasons for India’s launch delay.
Later, Sony confirmed that it will be adding more PS5 inventory before the end of the year owing to unprecedented demand for the console. The company also claimed that PS5 launch was its biggest console launch ever with 3.4 million units of the PS5 being sold in its first month.
PlayStation 5 comes in two versions – one with the disc drive and a Digital Edition without the disc drive. PS5 is powered by a custom processor and graphics engine to offer an immersive gaming experience with 3D audio, high-fidelity visuals, including 4K gameplay at up to 120fps, ray-tracing support, ultra-super-fast SSD with integrated I/O for lightning-fast loading of games.
